CONCEPT

Sabre 싱글엣지 면도기는 2세대로 업그레이드되어 조절형 3피스 면도기로 다시 태어났으며 GEM 싱글엣지 면도날을 장착하여 사용한다. 혁신적인 컴팩트한 헤드 디자인과 새로운 자석 조절형 매커니즘으로 다른 어떠한 싱글엣지 면도기와도 다른 면도를 자랑한다.

DESIGN

모든 Blackland design은 "어떻게 혁신할 수 있는가?"라는 질문으로부터 시작된다. 우리가 가진 아이디어가 충분히 혁신적이지 않다면 만들지 않는다. 새로운 아이디어가 시장에 새로운 것일 때에만 생산을 검토하기 시작한다. Sabre 싱글엣지 면도기가 출시되었을 때 새로운 slim-post design을 처음으로 선보인 것이였고 GEM blade를 양날 면도날과 같이 top cap에 장착하여 헤드는 컴팩트하고 핸들의 중앙에 위치하였다. 이러한 컨셉은 Vector 싱글엣지 면도기에서도 이어졌던 것으로 2024년 Sabre를 업데이트하는데에도 적용되었다. 계속 혁신을 지속해야한다는 것을 알고 있어고 Sabre platform을 한단계 더 향상시키기 위해서 오리지널 Sabre에 새로운 조절 매커니즘을 적용하여 훨씬 더 기능적이고 다재다능하도록 디자인하였다. 여러 개의 플레이트를 사용하는 방식대신 업데이트된 Sabre는 하나의 플레이트에 분리가 가능한 safety bar를 적용하여 단순하고 쉬운 조절이 가능하도록 하였다. 새로운 Sabre safety bar는 자석 특성때문에 17-4 stainless steel로 제작되었으며 플레이트에 작은 neodymium magnet이 있어 safety bar가 확실하고 쉽게 자리를 잡을 수 있도록 하였다.

• FOUR SHAVING LEVELS: 하나의 Sabre 면도기에는 2개의 양면사용이 가능한 safety bar가 제공되며 각 safety bar는 2단계의 조절단계를 제공하여 전체적으로 4단계의 조절이 가능하다. 이러한 4단계의 조절로 모든 사람들의 필요를 채워줄 수 있는 면도기로 업데이트되었으며 1~2단계는 부드러운 면도감각을 3~4단계는 보다 효율성이 높은 면도감각을 제공한다. 
• MAGNETIC ADJUSTMENT: Sabre safety bar는 강력한 neodymium magnet으로 확실하게 고정되며 전부 조립하였을 때 핸들이 safety bar를 또한 확실하게 자리잡게 해주어 안전한 사용이 가능하게 해준다. 자성이 있는 safety bar 적용으로 자신감있고 손쉬운 조절이 가능하게 해준다. 
• FINISHING TOUCHES: Blackland 자체 공장에서 가공되는 Sabre 면도기는 CNC 머신 과정을 보여주는 machined finish와 거울처럼 빛나는 수작업 mirror polish finish를 선택할 수 있으며 마감처리와 상관없이 Sabre handle의 경우 최적의 그립감을 위해서 blast 처리된다.

CONCEPT

The Sabre is an adjustable three-piece safety razor using the single-edge GEM blade. Featuring an innovative compact head design and novel magnetic adjustment mechanism, the Sabre unlike any other single edge razor.

DESIGN

Every Blackland design begins with a question. How we can innovate? If an idea we have isn't sufficiently innovative then we simply don't make it. It's only when a concept brings something novel to the industry and moves the needle in a meaningful way that we even consider producing it. When the Sabre was released, it debuted our novel slim-post design - an innovation that allowed a GEM blade to fit over the top cap like a double-edge blade to keep the head compact and centered over the handle. It's a concept that we continued with the Vector. So when we updated the Sabre in 2024, we knew we had to keep innovating and pushing the platform even further. Building upon the innovative design of the original Sabre, the updated Sabre features a novel adjustment mechanism to make it even more functional and versatile. Instead of multiple base plates with different performance, the Sabre uses a single base plate with a detachable safety bar, allowing for simple and easy adjustment. The Sabre's safety bars are machined in 17-4 stainless steel due to its magnetic properties. A small neodymium magnet in the base plate body allows the safety bar to snap into place securely and easily.

FEATURES

• FOUR SHAVING LEVELS: Every Sabre comes with two flippable safety bars, each with two shave levels, for a total of four settings. With four distinct shaving experiences, there is a Sabre shave for everyone. Choose Levels One or Two for a smooth and gentle experience. Step up to Levels Three and Four when efficiency is the priority.
• MAGNETIC ADJUSTMENT: The Sabre's removeable and flippable safety bar is held firmly in place during assembly using a powerful neodymium magnet. When fully assembled, the handle locks the safety bar securely in place for safe operation. The use of magnetic steel for the safety bars allows for confident and easy adjustment.
• FINISHING TOUCHES: The Sabre is machined and finished in-house at Blackland. Choose between a robust machined finish that proudly shows off the process of CNC machining each piece or a beautiful mirror polish applied by hand. Each Sabre handle, regardless of finish, is then selectively media blasted to create a secure grip section for optimal handling.
